Legendary Rockers Stryper Releases Music Video For Latest Single "Sorry"
The legendary rockers in Stryper have just released the music video for their latest single "Sorry" from the upcoming album God Damn Evil, releasing on April 20. The new music video is shot on location in Las Vegas and is directed by Jamie Brown at Smoking Gun Productions.
Stryper frontman and God Damn Evil album producer, Michael Sweet, says about the latest single, "'Sorry' is a song with a groove that chugs right along. It's got a heavy feel yet it also has a melodic sense and a chorus that may have you singing along."
"We've always been drawn to harmonies and melodies and this one doesn't fall short," Sweet explains. "Lyrically it speaks of a volatile relationship and it gives hope to anyone who has been involved in one. Every song is unique in its own way on God Damn Evil and there's something for everyone. We're counting the days to April 20th!"
God Damn Evil is the follow-up to Stryper's ninth studio album, Fallen, that released in 2015 and debuted at the top of the Billboard charts.
Fans on social media are noticeably excited about the latest single and upcoming album, with one user commenting, "My favorite Band still Slaying it after all these Years. Keep Rocking Guys! STRYPER FOR LIFE!?"
God Damn Evil is the band's first release since the recent addition of bass player Perry Richardson, who joins original members Michael Sweet on vocals and guitar, Robert Sweet on drums and Oz Fox on the guitar. Perry is best known as a founding member of the multi-platinum band Firehouse.
Stryper is also embarking on the "God Damn Evil World Tour" later this year, kicking off a the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan, Italy, on April 28, soon after the album's release. Full tour dates can be found at Stryper's official website as they become available.
