'Legends Of Tomorrow' Season 2 Episode 9 Recap, Spoilers: Rip Hunter Coming Back As A Changed Man

Aside from "Arrow," "The Flash," and "Supergirl," "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 is also taking a break this Holiday season. As the DC superhero series returns on The CW with its new episodes next year, "Legends of Tomorrow" will occupy a new time slot.

This week, the midseason finale of the series answered some of the season's biggest mysteries. While the episode succeeded in answering some of the most enduring questions this season, it also created a whole slew of mysteries that baffled fans all the more. One of those mysteries involves Rip Hunter, the captain of the Waverider.

In 1945, the time traveler disappeared during the battle with the Nazis. Following the event, viewers finally learned what happened to him. However, how he ended up in 1967, directing a film and sporting an American accent still remains a mystery for fans. While he is set to return to his team when the series returns, many believe that everyone should deal with him with caution.

Recently, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who plays Vixen, teased that Rip is already a changed man when he returns to the crew in season 2.

There are also speculations that the connection of "The Flash" to "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 might indicate that the Rip Hunter actually came from a different universe. Rumors are also rife that the version of the time traveler that the crew will meet is Rip Hunter's evil version.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 returns on January 24 on The CW. It will move from Thursday to Tuesday night, after "The Flash" at 9:00 P.M.
