LG Releases Curved Phone "G Flex" to South Korean Market: Price, Specs, and Features REVIEW / "G Flex" Coming to USA Soon? [TRAILER] [PHOTO]
The electronics company LG has released its new curved smartphone, the "G Flex," in South Korea to gauge consumer interest. Some experts say that a curved smartphone will be the future of smartphone technology because it is more ergonomic and comfortable for customers.
Miyoung Kim from Reuters.com wrote, "LG is among a slew of smaller companies struggling to compete against Samsung and Apple Inc, the smartphone leaders that account for almost all of the industry's profits. Curved displays and flexible screen are the new battleground for phone makers as the screens open up possibilities that could eventually transform the high-end smartphone market. Curved smartphones provide a more comfortable grip than flat-screen models, but the lack of must-have features means they are unlikely to be big consumer hits anytime soon, analysts have said. Manufacturing costs also remain relatively high."
So far, the price of the new "G Flex" has not been disclosed. Some of the specs and features on the phone are a 6 inch screen and a curved battery. Right now, curved smartphones are expensive to manufacture because the technology is still at a very early stage.
