Macbook Pro 2016 News, Rumors: Release Date Coming Soon?

The latest news on the MacBook Pro 2016 seem to suggest that the release date might come sooner than later.

A report from MacRumors said that Apple is not sleeping on the MacBook Pro 2016 even if it's already got a lot on its plate, contrary to what everybody is thinking. At things stand, the company is about to finish one more beta test of its macOS 10.12.1, which will start next week.

The software update will now include the OLED touch bar and the Touch ID for the MacBook Pro 2016, according to the news article.

The best case scenario is for the macOS 10.12.1 to breeze through the test during the developer and public beta, which allows the company to start downloading the software to partner manufacturers by the end of the week.

Of course, the release date for the MacBook Pro 2016 could be pushed back if the beta test will find major bugs and glitches. Again, if all goes well and Apple receives good news from the tests, the laptop could be launched as early as October this year.

But then again, there's this rumor from ApplePost about an Oct. 24 event hosted by the company specifically to launch the MacBook Pro 2016.

While the news about the October release has some historical basis, according to 9to5Mac, it's highly unlikely that it's going to fall on Oct. 24 as ApplePost claimed just for the fact that that date is a Monday. However, MacBooks are usually launched in late October so there's still something to look forward to.
