'Man of Steel 2' Producer Sparks Rumors of Doomsday Villain in 'Batman vs. Superman' Movie

Did a producer for Man of Steel 2 reveal a big spoiler for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie? Daniel Alter recently tweeted that Wonder Woman and Nightwing will appear as part of a Justice League tie-in. Those two characters have been speculated over since Affleck was first announced as the caped crusader. However, according to a cryptic tweet from Alter, it looks like Batman and Superman might have their hands full with a popular villain: Doomsday.

Need to talk to some people tnite about #doomsday in #BatmanvsSuperman," Alter tweeted.

Obviously that doesn't guarantee Doomsday will appear in Man of Steel 2, but it does seem like someone is considering it.

Chances are they're saving such a powerful villain for a film later in the franchise. Maybe once the Justice League is fully assembled? Lex Luthor seems like a much more practical villain at this point.

As for how Batman [Ben Affleck] feels about the upcoming super hero merge, the actor says he wants fans to keep in mind this won't just be a continuation of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight interpretation.

"I don't want to give away too much, but the idea for the new Batman is to redefine him in a way that doesn't compete with the Bale and Chris Nolan Batman but still exists within the Batman canon," Affleck said. "It will be an older and wiser version, particularly as he relates to Henry Cavill's Superman character."
