March Madness 2014 Bracket: Schedule and Preview Details Released (Printable Bracket)
Now that the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics are over, the next premier event to attract the attention of the sporting world is the NCAA tournament.
In March, college basketball will take center stage as everyone fills out their NCAA brackets, predicting the potential upsets. With only a few of regular-season games and the conference tournaments left prior to Selection Sunday, it is time for NCAA experts to begin discussing who the four No. 1 seeds will be.
Wichita State
Wichita State is the only undefeated team in America that will eventually land it a No. 1 seed. There is no other team that has less than two losses in the season. Supposing the Shockers finishes undefeated, they will definitely clinch one of the four sought-after spots on top of the bracket.
Syracuse
Despite the recent loss to Duke, if Syracuse wins their last three games and at least reach the semifinals of the ACC tournament, they will get a No. 1 seed. Defeating Georgia Tech and Florida State should not be problematic for the Orange. Syracuse biggest test should come on March 1 game at Virginia for the right to the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
Florida
Florida defeated the Tigers, Seminoles and Jayhawks and lost heartbreaking games to the Badgers and Huskies. What makes that even more remarkable is the fact that Coach Billy Donovan's squad was far from full strength due to early-season suspensions. There is not a team in the SEC conference that appears to have the talent to defeat Florida on paper besides Kentucky, and the Wildcats was defeated by the Gators in their first game this season. Their rematch is set in Gainesville.
Kansas
The Jayhawks defeated Duke, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Texas this season and have conquered the Big 12 race. This year is the 10th straight season that Kansas won at least a share of the Big 12 regular-season title, which is simply fantastic.
