‘Metro 2035' Release Date, Latest News: Sorry Fans, It Won’t Be Launched In 2017

The previous rumors about a 2017 release date of "Metro 2035" has been shot down by the publisher in a Twitter post.

The statement from Deep Silver reads:

"As the exclusive rights holder to videogames set in the Metro 2033 universe, Deep Silver has ambitious plans for the hugely successful Metro series.

But just to manage our fans' expectations - releasing the next Metro game in 2017 is not one of them.

When we have more news to share, we will.

Thank you for your patience."

The "Metro 2035" is the sequel to the "Metro 2033" and "Last Light," which are all based on the books.

When the game story resumes, it's already been a year since Artyom has left the Ranger Order and married Anna. They have settled in VDNKh, but the protagonist has become restless. He still wants to confirm his suspicion that he received a signal from another city.

His neighbors, meanwhile, thinks that Artyom has gone insane since he goes out every now and then in order to try to resume radio contact. Then Homer arrives in VDNKh and he also clings to the idea that there are more populations out there who survived the fallout.

The Tech Portal quoted Andriy Prokohrov, creative director, as saying, "one of TWO projects in development right now. We're not ready to talk about the other project just yet, but we think you'll like it. So please be patient!"

Watch out for more news on the "Metro 2035" release date, which would be published here when they come along.
