Ferguson Protests Latest News, Michael Brown Shooting: Demonstrators Threaten St. Louis Rams Game

More than a month after 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot dead in the city of Ferguson, Missouri, protesters remain passionate as they continue their seemingly endless call for justice. Brown was reportedly gunned down while he was unarmed during an altercation on August 9 with Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson.

The incident has caused widespread outrage and a string of violent protests as demonstrators accuse Ferguson authorities of racism. Although the local government has taken measures to try to pacify the escalated situation, authorities still failed to broker peace with the Ferguson protesters.

Recently, demonstrators expressed their intention to shut down the local St. Louis Rams football game, which is set to take place at the Edward Jones Dome in Missouri. A protester said during a council meeting that they intend to put a halt to the football event if the authorities fail to arrest Wilson.

Demonstrators also threatened to disrupt operations at local grocery stores and hold even larger protests if the local government does not take action. Protesters also called for the resignation of County Prosecutor Robert McCullock, Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, County Police Chief Jon Belmar, and 6th District Councilor Steve Stenger.

Ferguson demonstrators warned that they will be doing everything in their power to have the changes they are calling for materialize at the forthcoming November elections.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson stated in reports that they will continue to tolerate peaceful protests in the city, but added that anything beyond a peaceful demonstration will immediately be shut down by the police.
