"Miley: The Movement" 2013 / MTV's Documentary on Miley Cyrus Covers "Wrecking Ball" Singer's Publicity Stunts [TRAILER] [VIDEO]
MTV has been documenting Miley Cyrus for the past four months during the making of her new film "Miley: The Movement" which is due out on October 2nd, 2013 at 10 PM EST. The intimate documentary features full access to the young starlet in her adventures on the road and in the studio as she copes with success at a young age. Here are several topics that the documentary will cover:
- MTV Video Music Awards performance featuring twerking and foam fingers
- A mother's open letter to her daughter encouraging her to not be like Miley that went viral on the Internet
- Announcement that she will host and perform on Saturday Night Live
- Her video for "Wrecking Ball" broke VEVO records for viewership
- Called off her engagement to Liam Hemsworth
- Chastised by Cher
- "Wrecking Ball" reached number 1 on the Billboard Top 100
- New album "Bangerz" release date set for October 8th.
This is starting to sound like an episode of MTV's "Punk'd" but with the audience as the victim. The statement from the MTV press release says, "For the last four months, MTV has been granted unmatched access to Cyrus, who will unabashedly take viewers on her whirlwind journey from tween television sensation to one of pop music's most magnetic and unapologetically controversial artists."
The curious part about that statement is that Miley has only been a hot topic for about 4 weeks, not 4 months. Are all of these stunts that Cyrus has pulled lately just publicity stunts engineered by MTV? You be the judge! Also, check out this preview for the new documentary, "Miley: The Movement."
