'Mission Impossible 6' Release Date, Cast News: Jeremy Renner Not Coming Back For MI6

Much as his fans want to see him jump back into action, Jeremy Renner might not return for "Mission Impossible 6."

In the movie franchise, Jeremy Renner plays William Brandt, and he is one of those folks who have assisted main star Ethan Hunt across several of his missions. His character also appeared in "Ghost Protocol" in 2011, as well as "Rogue Nation" in 2015.

While fans are excited to see his return for "Mission Impossible 6," it looks like the actor won't be returning this time.

According to reports, "Mission: Impossible 6" is already geared up for production next year. However, there has been no official information yet as to Renner's return. Even the actor himself recently hinted that he might not be involved in the popular film's next outing.

In his interview with Collider, Renner revealed that he will be busy reprising his role as Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, in the back-to-back shoots for "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers 4" next year, which will hit theaters in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

"MI6, I'm not sure what's happening. I think it's going to be coming down to... I know that they're really wanting to get it going, and I haven't spoken to Tom yet about where it's at. I know there might be some conflict with schedules, so I'm not sure what's going to happen. 'Avengers' is gonna eat up a lot of next year. Gladly, but I certainly hope it doesn't ultimately get in the way of Tom and I and the gang getting back together for that, because I'd love to," explained Renner.

"Mission: Impossible 6" hits theaters on July 27, 2018.
