'Moms' Night Out' Movie Releases May 9 with Perfect Mothers Day Message, 'Pure Comedy, Pure Family, and Heart-Felt Entertainment' (MOVIE REVIEW)
Breathecast attended an early screening of the hilariously heartwarming film "Moms' Night Out" this week and without giving a way the entire film we will let you know what to expect when you take the moms in your life out to see the family comedy.
"Moms' Night Out" hits theaters everywhere May 9, which is just in time for Mother's Day. AFFIRM Films, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Provident Films have done a great job at presenting an honest film that is fun for all ages.
The film features a star cast of actors Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings trilogy), and Sarah Drew (Grey's Anatomy), who stars in her very first lead role on the big screen.
From the opening scene to the secret scene hidden at the end of the film after the credits role, this movie will have the viewer laughing out of their seats at the real life scenarios portrayed in the film.
Drew's character Allyson plays an overwhelmed stay-at- home mother raising three small children. Her Husband, Sean played by Astin, is the supportive hardworking partner who encourages her to take a moms night out. Allyson then turns to her mentor, her Pastor's wife (Heaton) and her best friend (Andrea Logan White) to enjoy a night out without the kids.
The fathers are left in charge of the children and soon enough the peaceful moms night out turns into havoc.
Hysterical small cameos from comedian Anjelah Johnson and her singer/rapper hubby, Manwell Reyes of the Hip-hop Christian act, Group 1 Crew keep the audience chuckling as the night unfolds.
"Moms' Night Out," although a film with an unapologetic sense of faith, does an amazing job at sharing Christianity with its viewer in a way that does not seem forceful or in-genuine. In fact, arguably the most emotional moment in the movie in which the message of Jesus and His love is delivered, happens to be from the unlikeliest character, a tattooed, giant, biker who strayed from the faith, played by platinum recording artist Trace Adkins.
The film really bridges the gap from Hollywood to reality, emphasizing the job that mothers have. The movie helps mothers realize they do not have to have all the answers but they still play a huge role in the lives of their families. It also helps men and children see the sacrifice and hard work that goes into the role of a mommy.
The movie over all really serves as a tribute to moms, and is the perfect way to treat mothers and wives for Mother's Day, or any time for that matter. "Moms' Night Out" is pure comedy, pure family, and heart-felt entertainment.
The movie was directed by the Erwin Brothers and produced by Kevin Downes, Jon Erwin, Andrew Erwin, and Daryl Lefever. Executive producers are Patricia Heaton and David Hunt.
