Christians reacted as news of the death of E'Dena Hines, step-granddaughter of Oscar award winning actor Morgan Freeman broke Monday morning. Her boyfriend allegedly stabbed the young woman to death as he tried to cast devils out of her in the name of Jesus.
The tragic news was met with much grief as thousands of people offered their condolences on social media. Several Christians are now pleading with Freeman, a professing atheist to give his life to Jesus. Others are pointing out the fact that Jesus had nothing to do with the crime and the attacker was the one who had a devil.

According to several reports Hines, 33 years old was murdered by her live-in boyfriend, Lamar Davenport after a horrifying drug-induced psychosis, he yelled "Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out!" as he stabbed her 16 times.
Some Christ followers took the tragedy as a time to plead with Freeman to reach out to God for comfort.
"Morgan if ever there was a time to believe in the living God is now because he is the God of all comfort!" ?Ang Marie? said on Facebook.
?Jos?f Arsenec? added, "I pray that as Morgan Freeman is morning the loss of his daughter that he reaches out to God and finds Christ.
Others spoke to the fact that Davenport used the name of Jesus to do the exact thing Jesus preached against, murder.
"It is completely clear to me that the enemy (satan) would want to commit an evil act and invoke the name of God (Jesus) in any way possible to discredit or make an attempt at mocking or placing blame on an innocent and pure party," user Zion Law wrote.
Jody Ann Bellino-Franco noted "It sounds like a mocking spirit, I don't know much about the case, but much evil claims to be done in the name of good, it is a terrible tragedy and clearly shows a very damaged individual."
Jose T Castillo Jr echoed, "Sounds like a mental health issue or some sort of demonic possession."
Police and media reports have linked the death of Hines to Davenport's use of drugs. George Hudacko, a witnessed to the 3 a.m. New York City attack said he shouted
"Jesus Christ is born!" over her body.
Freeman, 78, who adopted Hines mother issued a statement soon after the attack.
"The world will never know her artistry and talent and how much she had to offer," the Oscar winner said. "Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."
