Moto Z And Moto G4 Nougat Update and News: Two Phones Shift To Latest Android OS
There's good news for Moto Z and G4 users as the Android Nougat update will be rolled out to their phones soon.
According to Lenovo, the timeline for the Moto ZX and G4 Nougat update would be at the start of the fourth quarter of this year. That's only about a days away of the rollout should start in October.
Of course, it could also be on Dec. 31 and the Motorola spokesperson that talked to Droid-Life would still be technicall correct. Owners of Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z, Z Force and Z Play should be on the lookout for the update prompt so they could shift to the latest Android OS.
The spokesperson also told the article that Lenovo will "share upgrade plans for other products and more specific timing later." The company is clearly not rushing things considering that "upgrades are about getting it right and making sure the phone performance remains the best it can be."
Among the features of the the Android Nougat is the ability to run two apps at the same time, along with over 1,500 emojis that can be used by users to express themselves better. The Doze app is also much improved to ensure that your phone lasts even longer.
NDTV noted that the spokesperson only talked about the Moto Z family and G4 Nougat update in the news article, but it's safe to say that the Moto G4 Play and Moto G4 Plus would also be included considering that there's no changes in the architecture in the other models.
Users are then advised to visit the Motorola software update page every now and then to see the Moto Z and G4 Nougat update.
