Motorola Droid Maxx Review, Specs: Promising Improved Battery Life
Motorola released the Droid Maxx smartphone in July of 2013, and many consider it to be the company's best smartdevice yet.
With its big display (5.0 inches) and high resolution display (720x1280 pixels), the Droid Maxx is widely popular. The phone comes with a high-end rear camera that has 10 MP which beats Apple's best 8 MP on their high-end devices. The front camera is 2 MP which is not too bad considering other "selfie" cameras on the market. Beyond that the phone has 2048 MB RAM which allows the device to run many applications at the same time.
In addition to all that, the phone support fast mobile data with 4G.
According to Android Central, Droid Maxx offers great battery life. Verizon promises a 48-hours of battery life for usage with its non-removable 3500Ah Li-Ion battery inside a phone as slim as 0.28-inches. The standby time for the phone is up to 25 days. Motorola's new eight-core X8 Mobile Computing System should also be put in the watch-list for Droid Maxx.
The phone operates on Android 4.2, Jelly Bean. There are rumors saying that Motorola Droid will get Android 4.4 KitKat.
The only thing that the 4.94 oz phone lacks is a microSD slot for storage expansion. Built-in storage for the phone is 32GB. The number is big enough, but probably might not be enough for some people. However, this problem could be solved with the new cloud storage introduced by known companies such as Google.
