Motorola Droid Turbo Release Date, Specs Rumors: Leaked Photos of Moto Maxx - Looks Just Like the Droid Turbo
Recently, some leaked photos of a Motorola Droid Turbo, also known as the Moto Maxx, surfaced onto the Internet. While the images were promptly taken down, several media sites jumped on the opportunity and took screenshots of the pictures.
The leaked pictures came from a Sao Paulo resident named Guilherme Henrique who shared the on his Google+ account.
On that note, Verizon and Motorola confirmed the release date of the Moto Maxx at a joint event on Tuesday. Motorola also gave out press invites to few media outlets for the launch event in Brazil on Wednesday, November 5 at 10 am.
The invitation showed a half of the Moto Maxx in an image, and teased the distinctive Kevlar back and one of the LED flash of the DROID Turbo model.
Moto Maxx is indeed the international version of the Motorola Droid Turbo. It's also been revealed that the Moto Maxx is expected to have 5.2-inch QHD Touchscreen with a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440, 21-megapizel rear camera with Dual-LED flash, 64 GB built-in storage, 3 GB RAM, Turbo Charging capability, 4K video recording operating on Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC with a 2.7 GHz quad-core CPU, 3,900 mAH battery which can run the phone for 48 hours of mixed usage.
Aside from that, the device is expected to have ballistic nylon that serves both design and function. Underneath the coating is a Kevlar coating, reported to be five times the strength of steel.
The Moto Maxx may come in Black Ballistic Nylon, Metallic Black, and Metallic Red Colors, and may have a price tag of $199 with 2-year contract for the 32 GB model and $249 for the 64GB model.
