Motorola Moto M Latest News, Rumors: Fingerprint Scanner Function Added To Device?

The latest flagship Motorola Moto M will allegedly feature a fingerprint scanner at the back, if all the news and rumors are to be believed.

A new leak has surfaced on the Motorola Moto M, although to be fair, there's no confirmation yet from the company or official news channels regarding this, which clearly shows a scanner at the back of the device.

There's no way of knowing if the new image refers to the Moto M but, according to the report, the camera above the scanner looks very similar to previous models of Motorola phones.

Previous rumors on the Motorola Moto M revealed that its specs include a 5.5-inch full HD display, with either a 3GB or 4GB of RAM mated to either a 32GB or 64GB internal storage with expandable option through microSD. It's also going to be run by 2GHz MediaTek MT6755 octa-core SoC.

As to the camera, it will feature 16 megapixels for the main snapper and 8 MP, or 5 MP, front cam. The battery packs 3000mAh, which is about pedestrian for a smart phone with this size.

According to PhoneArena, if all the rumors on the Moto M are true, then this would be the first time a Motorola phone will have a rear fingerprint snapper. According to the other rumors, there would be two models of the flagship that will be launched in China and other Asian countries

Watch out for more news and rumors on the Motorola Moto M, which will be published here when new details come along.
