CMA Awards Show 2013: Awards and Guest Performances
Nashville is known for many things, but the one thing it is known for in the fall, is it's annual Country Music Awards show that drives multiple country-music artists to the heart of Nashville. The 47th annual CMA Awards are going to be airing tonight at Nashvilles very own Bridgestone Arena on the ABC Network. Known as one of Country's music biggest night, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be sharig the stage as they present this years winners and nominees for select categories. Nominees and winners of the CMA Awards are determined by their peers -- more than 7,100 industry professional members of the Country Music Association. There reportedly have already been some early wins for this years country music artists such as Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Tim Mcgraw. The fun filled night is a evening full of laughter and the greatest of country music as these nominees all come together for a very special night. "Highway Don't Care," Tim McGraw's song collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, has already won musical event and video of the year at the 2013 CMA Awards. The two categories were announced Wednesday (Nov. 6) during a episode of ABC's Good Morning America. With an overload of the artists collaborating together tonight for a one time performance, there will also be musical performances by Luke Bryan with Chris Stapleton, Hunter Hayes with Jason Mraz, the Zac Brown Band with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Taylor Swift with Vince Gill and Alison Krauss. Additionally, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban will perform together, Alan Jackson and George Strait will perform a tribute to the late George Jones, and Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker will pay tribute to Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Rogers.
