Mutant Mudds is surprising the gaming world with strong sales and has sold more on the Wii U than the combined sales of PS3, Vita, and Steam.

The game, created by Renegade Kid developers, made the reveal on Twitter when director Jools Watsham posted the remarkable sales on his Twitter. He also said, "3DS is king" as the game is doing even better on the handheld.

According to VG247, Watsham is disappointed by the lack of success for the game on other platforms, which is also prohibiting them from bringing other Renegade Kid games over to the PSN.

Mutant Mudds was first a 3DS game until it was ported in a deluxe version for the Wii U, PS3, Vita, and Steam.

Currently Renegade Kid is developing Moon Chronicles, which will be a 3DS shooter, and the sequel to the DS' Moon, reported VG247.
