'Nashville' Season 2, Episode 9 "I'm Tired of Pretending" Recap

'Nashville' epsiode nine, " I'm Tired of Pretending" aired Sunday as Layla gives herself an encore on Juliette's tour, and Juliette is ready to strike. Charlie is still trying pretty hard to to get Juliette back, but she refuses on account that he is still in fact married. Little does she know, they are in the process of getting a divorce. Will that change things for Juliette? Back at Rayna's ranch, Maddie begs her parents to have Deacon teach her guitar when everyone except her disagrees. Decaon gives in, not so sure that it is a good idea though. Rayna than receives a call from her dad that is currently in prison, when he asks her to be a character witness in court for him to be put on house arrest. He also tell's her that he wishes Tandy would do the same, even though neither of them known she is the one that told on him.

Scarlett is still talking with Ashley about how she needs to speak to her roommate, but she has no idea that they are both talking to Gunner at the same time. How is it not obvious? Teddy is in a horrible mood about Deacon teaching Maddie how to play guiatr, when she is invited too a kid's open mic. Maddie brings Deacon up on stage with her to sing, "A Life's that Good", when Teddy and Rayna seem to be growing angrier by the minute. As the two walk off stage, Teddy goes up to Deacon yelling at him saying that he need's to pay for all the damage he's done to his family. Deacon fires back by saying that Teddy has some nerve making his daughter sing at his wedding to his mistress. Maddie runs off and swears that it's best she doesnt speak to any of them anymore.

Back at Juliette's tour, she pushes up Layla's set so that there is no time for extra songs, when Layla recieves flowers from Will. Divorce obviously pleased Juliette because she is being nicer to Charlie, and she has welcomed her crowd to an 80's giddup. The Bluebird Cafe is getting a little to close for comfort as Scarlett seems to be getting more insecure when Zoe finally comes up to tell her about the relationship with Gunner. Yet, before she can get anything out, Scarlett pulls the whole pitty party. It comes to bite her in the butt later as she finds Zoe and Gunner making out in the closet.   Rayna arrives at her fathers court appearance and states that he is not a flight risk, but home arrest is denied. She than trys to reconcile the situation with Teddy, but he then pulls Deacons name out of th elist for the Country Music Festival, which in turn makes the situation worse. Juliette urges Charlie to go back to his wife and pretend nothing ever happened, when Layla seeks revenge and calls the tabloids about her affair with Charlie. Next week's episode of "Nashville" will be entertaining to say the least, but someone on show will end up dying as well. Who do you think it will be?
