NBA 2K14 Patch 4 Being Released as Major Fix to Online Play

NBA 2K14 has its fourth patch coming, confirmed 2K Sports in a Tweet.

"#NBA2K14 Patch 4 submitted to 1st party. Looks to address XB1 drop to main menu issue among other fixes. Usual 10-14 day approval process," 2K Games Tweeted Friday.

NBA 2K14 is still suffering from online connection problems despite a series of patches that were supposed to fix the performance of the game and remove all of the glitches and errors.

2K's Ronnie Singh told his followers on Twitter that online features should be back to normal on January 2, however, problems still continued to persist.

Some players, especially those who play the game on the Xbox One, said they were unable to connect the game online at all even though all the updates were downloaded.

According to IGN, 2K Sports offered special pre-game player animations to appease customers, but that failed to work due because users could not get online to get the free code.

The game has received rave reviews for graphics and the life like features of the gameplay. NBA 2K14 as a game is not the problem, it is the online portion that is giving people grief, and for gamers in this age, online is the whole point of the game.

NBA 2K14 was released on Oct. 1 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It arrived for the PS4 on Nov. 15 and the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
