NBC THE WINNER IS: Season 1 Finale, Talk about a Milli, in CASH and VIEWERSHIP

When it comes to testing your belief and faith no other television show does it like NBC's "The Winner Is". Unlike your average TV shows "American Idol" and "The X Factor", where vocalists strive for fame and to ultimately obtain a record deal. The contestants on "The Winner Is" sing to gain one thing and that is cold, hard, cash money!

Six contestants battle it out each week for a chance to win a million dollars, but their will power is tested each round by being offered smaller, but still large amounts of money to leave the show. Ten thousand dollars is offered in the first round, twenty-five thousand in the second and fifty thousand in round three.

If the contestants can withstand the temptation of thousands of dollars and manage to win the hearts of the jury of 101 music heads then they are one step closer to winning a million dollars!

Last night's season finale had us all on the edge of our seats as we watched final contestants: Katie-Ohh (the nurse), Sharde Bivans (the science teacher), Senior Sounds of Touch (the grandpas), Amy Showalter (the substitute teacher), Leah Grace (the 10 year old), and the Lafontaines (mother and daughter), duke it out to be last two contestants in the race for a million big ones.

At the end of the finale Katie-Ohh and Sharde Bivans were the last men or should I gals standing. The two went toe-to-toe during their performances with the jury's votes being 44 to 57, but ultimately Katie-Ohh beat out Bivans who felt she was worth more than the $200,000 that she passed up in hopes to winning the $1,000,000 prize. With the competition series finale drawing in 1.5 million viewers, I cannot wait to see what season 2 of the series has to offer.
