Fans who saw the Season 5 premiere "Ascension" last week didn't lose any momentum from where the action left off after the Season 4 finale. Though the premiere started directly after last season, the storyline jumped close to four months by the end of the episode.

Nate, who didn't make an appearance in the Season 5 premiere is back in Episode 2 "Impact."

In the trailer preview released yesterday, Nate's job is to help Sam and Deeks return to work and resolve what seems to be a case of PTSD. Though Episode 2 is set four months later, not all wounds have been healed.

Though they still showed their flare for catching baddies in the Season 5 premiere, Deeks seems to be taking the pain a little harder than anyone else. If Nate can't find a way to get through to him, he may quit the force.
