NES Classic Latest News, Availability: Where Can You Buy On Black Friday 2016?

Bad news for those waiting on the NES Classic as all units are already sold out in stores. Most likely, availability won't happen yet until Black Friday 2016 weekend.

The report from Digital Trends revealed that GameStop sold out all the units half an hour after the stores opened. In the same vein, stocks for NES Classic quickly sold out from Toys R Us as well as Best Buy.

To be fair, Nintendo only distributed a small number of units to resellers, which is a marketing strategy to ramp up the demand.

Nintendo said in a statement in response to the steady stream of inquiries on NES Classic availability that, "there will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check product availability."

Wired said that due to the demand, where to buy the NES Classic is quite tricky. A number of units went to eBay where they are selling at $250, which is a huge markup from the $60 retail price.

But the article said that paying over two hundred bucks for one unit won't be a good investment. It's better to wait for Nintendo to produce more consoles since the NES Classic is not as limited as people perceived it to be.

Watch out for more news on the NES Classic, availability and where to buy, which we will report when any new information comes along. There should be more reports ahead of the Black Friday weekend next week.
