The Cavaliers will kick their 2013-2014 season off tonight against the Brooklyn Nets at the Quicken Loans Arena. The game is scheduled to start at 7 PM.

During the preseason the Cavaliers had a 4-4 record while out-rebounding their opponents by an average close to five rebounds a game.

Tristan Thompson led the Cavaliers in rebounding with an average of 9.1 boards along with 12.5 points a game.

Kyrie Irving was the leading point guard with 16.5 points along with 5.1. assists. Deron Williams said, "[Irving] doesn't have many weaknesses in his game, especially offensively. You have to respect him out past the three-point line. He's deadly in transition. He has one of the best handles in the game, especially in traffic. He's going to be a handful trying to keep him in the lane and keep him in traffic."

Williams, who played only 10 minutes of the preseason due to a sprained ankle will start tonight in the season opener and will be heavily monitored by Coach Jason Kidd. "We're not going to throw Deron out there for 40 minutes," Kidd said.

Brooklyn Nets will come into tonight's game with a tweaked roster. During the offseason Nets traded Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett from the squad and added Andrei Kirilenko and Shaun Livingston in their place.
