Jars of Clay announced via their social network that they will be recording their new album. The band wrote about 50 songs in the past year. They plan to pick 13 favorites and put them on the album.

Jars of Clay also mentioned that the new album will be produced by Grammy nominated record producer, musician and composer Tucker Martine who worked with REM, Decemberists, Beth Orton, Laura Veirs, Spoon to mention a few.

The band will be heading to Portland for the recording process.

Band's previous project titled Jars of Clay Presents The Shelter was inspired by the community. Jars of Clay Presents The Shelter was released in 2010.
