New Documentary "Russ Taff: I Still Believe" To Premiere In Theaters For Special One-Night Event On Oct. 30
Fathom Events and Fuseic Entertainment are announcing the Oct. 30 theatrical release of the compelling new documentary, "Russ Taff: I Still Believe," chronicling the multi-Grammy and Dove Award-winning singer's musical journey and behind-the-scenes battle with alcoholism.
The film will play in cinemas nationwide on Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. local time, for a one-night inspirational event. Immediately following the film viewing, theater audiences will have the opportunity to view a special acoustic session with Taff and his friend, multiple Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman.
Tickets for "Russ Taff: I Still Believe" can be purchased online at FathomEvents.com and at participating theater box offices.
"Russ Taff: I Still Believe" is directed by acclaimed director and Fuseic Entertainment co-founder Rick Altizer, who traces Taff's iconic four-decade career, as well as the childhood trauma he suffered at the hands of an alcoholic father and abusive mother.
Unable to overcome his shame for many years, Taff turned to alcohol, distancing his family, threatening his career and jeopardizing his life. In the documentary, the acclaimed gospel singer speaks openly about how a tumultuous past fueled his own addiction and the ultimate healing he found in the power of the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. The film also shines an important spotlight on Taff's wife of 42 years, Tori, who through her tough love, fervent prayers, and unfailing devotion helped her husband find freedom from his past through God's mercy.
"I'm a believer in looking ahead, not behind, but sometimes only time and distance can bring everything into perspective," Russ Taff says. "Forgiveness, healing, restoration... I am living proof that Jesus is still about His Father's business, one broken person at a time."
The film also features legendary artists and entertainers such as Amy Grant, Bart Millard of MercyMe, Michael W. Smith, Michael Tait of the Newsboys, Bill Gaither, as well as comedians Mark Lowry and Chonda Pierce.
