New Jersey Mall Shooting 2013 UPDATES: Authorities Found Shooters Body in the Shopping Plaza After He Shot Himself [PHOTO]

A gunman walked into a New Jersey shopping plaza last night and began firing his weapon into the air. No employees or customers were injured during the incident. The gunman was later found dead in the mall after shooting himself in the head with his weapon. The gunman who committed the mall shooting mainly just fired his gun at security cameras and up in the air and never really aimed it at a person.

Some law enforcement officials claim that the New Jersey mall shooting gunman was there in order to commit suicide by police, but since he never encountered a police officer he took his own life.

The official description of the New Jersey mall shooting reads as follows:

Richard Shoop entered the Garden State Plaza in Paramus around 9:20 PM Monday and roamed the hallways of the shopping center, shooting in the air and at security cameras, before taking his own life. His body was found by authorities at 3:20 AM Tuesday "very, very deep in an area that was under construction."

The weapon that he used to commit the New Jersey mall shooting was a legal gun that was modified to look like an AK-47 assault rifle. Authorities say that he stole the gun from his brother before heading to the mall.
