Nexus 4 vs HTC One vs Moto X Specs / Could New Motorola Phone Challenge Other 4.7 Inch Display Models? Moto X Release Date Late August 2013.
Motorola recently announced it would be releasing the Moto X later this moth. The newest installment in the Motorola smartphone series will feature a 4.7-inch display similar to several other industry-leading phones. Let's compare the Moto X with two other smartphones with 4.7-inch screens: Nexus 4 vs HTC One vs Motorola Moto X
First lets look at each phone's processor. Both the HTC One and Motorola Moto X have processors clocked at 1.7GHZ. Even though the Moto X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor with Adreno 320 graphics, the HTC One gets the nod with two extra cores.
All three phones have the same size display. But not all screens are created equal. The Nexus 4 has a resolution of 1280 x 768 with the Moto X only being marginally different. The HTC One wins again with full HD resolution [1920 x 1080] and 469 ppi.
In 2013, cameras are a big part of the smartphone experience. The Nexus 4 has an 8-megapixel camera in the back with LED flash and 1080p video. The Moto X camera is 10-megapixel with similar photo features. Though the HTC One only features a 4-megapixel camera, the UltraPixel technology provides for some dazzling photos with surprising clarity and vibrance. User pick.
As for RAM and storage, the HTC One wins. Though all phones come with 2GB of RAM, the HTC One allows users to add an additional 64 GB of storage while the Nexus 4 and Moto X cap at 32 GB.
As for operating systems, the Nexus 4 will soon be running on the latest Android once the 4.3 update arrives. Same goes for the Moto X. The HTC One originally came with Android 4.1.2. out of the box. Expect the 4.3 update to effect all three phones dramatically.
