The Nintendo NX news has been scarce with only three months to go before 2016 ends. But not rushing its launch for the holidays may prove to be a strategic move for the Japanese company.

The most recent rumors placed the release date of the Nintendo NX in March 2017.

According to Forbes, this might be a good move rather than be overshadowed by a lot of gadget releases from companies taking advantage of the holiday rush. That should also allow Nintendo to test and retest the NX to limit the number of glitches when it ships.

In the same vein, the company should really schedule an event where it will share any Nintendo NX news on an official platform, instead of allowing all these rumors to spiral out of control.

For instance, there's this news report from iDigital Times, which pointed out that the Nintendo NX might function differently from what many people were led to believe. Apparently, when you play the console on mobile, it would become a much more different experience.

This is why Nintendo's decision to remain silent on the release date is quite a head-scratcher, especially if the rumors are to be believed that it's nearing launch.

Nevertheless, , Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that Nintendo would find itself in the middle of the console wars with the release of the NX. "It's really a new approach. It's really Nintendo - coming with something new again. We love it," he said.
