Nintendo Switch Price News, Latest Update: January Streaming Event To Answer All Questions?

The Japanese manufacturer is really keeping its cards close to its chest when it comes to the Nintendo Switch price. But people are anticipating more details during the streaming event set for next month.

Nintendo has already promised to announce some news on its new console.

According to TIME, the streaming event was set for Jan. 12 at 11 p.m. Eastern Time. it's quite late because you have to account for the time difference in Japan. Or if you can't wait that late to find out about the Nintendo Switch price, you can hold on for the event scheduled in New York on Jan. 13.

The event is promised to be a hands-on activity, so lucky fans will get first dibs on the console. In fact, the NYC event is probably better than the streaming announcement in Tokyo, Japan.

There's no price listing yet for the Nintendo Switch in the US, but the UK website of the reseller is selling the console at pre-order for £399 or roughly $500. It's a bit of a gamble, however, because if it turns out to be cheaper, you lose some money. But if it turns out to be more expensive, your gamble will pay off.

Tesco, for its part, had listed the price at £349 or about $439. However, the retailer's chain quickly took down the post.

Ben Parfitt, website editor of gaming and tech site MCV, speculated that the Japanese company is being very deliberate about the Nintendo Switch price considering the stakes involved. While they want to target the mass market, the company did make a mistake with the Wii U and that's not something Nintendo is keen on repeating.
