Nintendo Switch Release Date News, Price Rumors: $260 For Basic Nintendo Switch Bundle?
The recent rumors finally revealed the expected Nintendo Switch price as the console's release date was announced to be on Mar. 17.
The report said there are multiple choices for consumers as the Japanese company is preparing multiple bundles for the Nintendo Switch.
If the rumors are true, there would be a Super Mario Bundle and a Legend of Zelda Bundle, aside from the basic Nintendo Switch bundle which is priced at $260. The Mario bundle will supposedly carry a price tag of $300 while the Zelda bundle will cost $340, but it already includes a Pro Controller.
TechRadar noted that whatever the Nintendo Switch price is, it's going to be fair. The Japanese company has shown itself to be very adept at finding the sweet spot of consumers. For instance, the Nintendo DS was launched at $150 while the Wii was launched at $250, which were partly responsible for the good sales of the two consoles.
The Nintendo Switch promises to be a hybrid console that consumers can sync with their TV screens through a dock, or bring out side through the two controllers attached to the screen.
The trailer also promises some new games outside of the Nintendo titles. For instance, there appears to be a "Skyrim" game, as well as the actor playing basketball on the console. There also appears to be an unannounced Mario game.
For now, however, there's no word on the specs of the Nintendo Switch, such as the RAM, processor, graphics and battery life. There should be more details on the price when the release date nears.
