Nintendo Switch Price Rumors, Release Date News & Update: Is Console Really That Cheap ?

The Nintendo Switch price has been leaked and based on the news reports and rumors, the console is really quite cheap, at least compared to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

The new console has no release date just yet, but most people are anticipating that it will launch in the first quarter of next year.

The news article from Forbes pointed out that some resellers have listed the price of the Nintendo Switch at around $245 to $249, which is quite a good deal considering that the Xbox One costs $299 while the PlayStation 4 costs $399.

To be fair, this is just rumor at this point considering that there's no official statement from the Japanese company on the price of the Nintendo Switch.

The official statement, however, did say, "At a later date, before launch, we'll be talking about things like price, exact launch date, and of course, the games."

This would be the sweet spot for Nintendo Switch in terms of the price, and if this rumor is true then it's easy to see the console become the biggest blockbuster for the Japanese company and turn around its fortunes.

There should be more news on the price of the Nintendo Switch when the release date is announced on Jan. 13 in Tokyo, said PCAdvisor. At that time, the titles will also be announced for the new console. The teaser trailer did show "Skyrim," "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," as well as an NBA game and a yet unreleased 3D Mario game.
