Nintendo Switch Rumors, News: There Is No Virtual Reality Support For Latest Console?
The trailer for the Nintendo Switch released recently only served to feed all the rumors and news reports on the latest console from the Japanese company.
In previous rumors, it was pointed out that the Nintendo Switch, which was called the Nintendo NX before, is capable of supporting virtual reality headsets.
However, UploadVR noted that the accessories and peripherals shown on the Nintendo Switch trailer don't really show any VR headpiece or eyewear. That means, it might not be coming to the console anytime soon.
That doesn't rule out the possibility that VR will eventually come to Nintendo Switch, probably not just at the release date.
The article also said previous articles reported of an alleged developer who has been working on a virtual reality game for the Nintendo Switch.
But Reggie Fils-Aimé, Nintendo of America president, had said that a VR support is not in the pipeline right now.
As the trailer showed, the Nintendo Switch can be synced to the television and immediately "switch" to portable mode by taking it out of the dock. In its portable form, it looks a lot of Nintendo DS. The two controllers on the sides of the device, which has been called the Joy-Con, can also be detached from the screen giving the gamer more flexibility.
For those who might think the Joy-Con controllers are too small, they can actually use a regular controller especially when the Nintendo Switch is already connected to the large TV screen.
Watch out for more rumors and news on the Nintendo Switch, which will be published here when they come along.
