Nintendo Wii U Latest News & Update: Console Offered As Part Of Black Friday 2016 Deals
Everybody knows Nintendo Wii U flopped big time. But if you still want one, you can take advantage of the Black Friday 2016 deals in order to get huge discounts on the console.
The Nintendo Wii U is being retailed for $299, but you can head off to Target, Best Buy or Amazon and scour for the best deal for the console this Black Friday 2016.
For instance, on Amazon, the Nintendo Wii U Premium Pack black + Xenoblade Chronicles X is being offered for $250, so that's about $50 off from the original price.
The Japanese company admitted that the Nintendo Wii U did not sell as much as they would like. Over the four years since its launched, only a little more than 13 million units were sold. In contrast, the original Wii already sold 84 million units in four years.
TechRadar said that despite the laggard sales, the Nintendo Wii U is still a good investment with the right price under the Black Friday 2016 deals. There are some very good games for the console such as the "Mario Kart 8," "Super Mario Maker," "Splatoon," "Super Smash Bros," "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD," among others.
Last year, the Nintendo Wii U was offered at bundles which included the games "Skylanders Swap Force," "Super Mario Maker and "Mario Kart 8." This could be the last ditch effort of the Japanese company to ramp up sales especially since it already halted production for the console. Next year, it will introduce the Nintendo Switch into the market, which would really killed the Wii U.
