Christian's Sneak Bible's Into North Korea via Air Drop

Eric Foley, a American pastor and Chief Exceutive Officer of Seoul has been filling up farm plastic balloons with New Testament Bibles and tracts that will float over to the communist border of North Korea. North Korea is known for killng missionaries from other countries, among their own people for trying to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Seoul USA, is a missionary group where Eric Foley leads congregations in Colorado and in Seoul, Korea to teach others about the word of God. Foley has trained people for the past 20-years on how to volunteer and make organizations that help in  discipleship practices and promote missionary work.

Recently, Foley and his wife traveled to North Korea where they stood on the border with their hands together praying that balloons would safely make it to the to other side of North Korea. In these balloons, Foley put the New Testament bibles with 'tracts' testimonials that will hopefully make it to the underground Christians of North Korea. Foley has made it possible where they can track the balloons and pop them at a certain location for the Bible's to be dispersed throughout that certain area. With GPS systems, they can direct where the balloons land, as nearly 50,000 Bibles have been dropped this year alone in North Korea. The balloons are  made of a farm plastic and then in turn filled with hydrogen before they are filled with  Bibles and tracts. North Korea has over 100,000 Christians and almost half of them are locked in concetration camps for their belief in Jesus. Foley stated that "North Korea has the most prosecuted believers on earth" and that he becomes very emotional when it comes time to send the balloons over. "Every time we fill up one of these balloons, we hold it and we pray together in English, North Korean and South Korean," Foley said. "We pray loudly and always with tears." Foley and his wife, who is actually a immigrant from South Korea, started the project back in 2006 with the first balloon having Bibles just strapped to it. Since then, Foley has made it a life-long goal to make sure that North Korea is given the truth about Jesus Christ. To know more about the project or to help with Seoul USA go here.
