The project is a deeply personal and narrative-driven album marking the band's 20th anniversary. Encapsulating experiences, choices, and milestones, the band invites listeners to join them in reflecting on life's significant moments as they commemorate two decades of creating and performing together. 

"Where You've Been" isn't just an album; it's a journey. Carefully curated to flow into the next, each song serves as a chapter in the story of life, touching on themes of time, regret, resilience, and love. The title track, "Where You've Been," sets the tone, leading into the raw and ancestral look back of "Horse Thieves and Moonshiners." The ups and downs through "When It Rains, She Pours" and "Whirlwind," culminating with "Nobody's Business But The Moon," and "That's Just Life." 

Carolyn Routh, whose powerful vocals are a cornerstone of Nu-Blu's sound, explains, "Sometimes life isn't what we expect, but with each new experience there's something to be learned. "Where You've Been" features a stellar lineup of guest artists, adding even more depth and texture to the album. Jim Peterik, known for his work with Survivor and The Ides of March and penning such hits as "Eye of the Tiger," "The Search is Over," and "Vehicle," lends his talents to one of his original songs, "Trains," performing with Carolyn Routh and playing keys on the track. Jody McBrayer, of Avalon fame, joins Carolyn for a soul-stirring duet on "Jesus Loves You," blending their voices in a way that is nothing short of magical. 

Sharon White and Ricky Skaggs, both legendary Grand Ole Opry members, bring their distinct vocals to "The Will," a poignant song that has struck a chord with the band members, especially Carolyn, who recently lost her father. The song speaks to the inevitable moments in life we all must face, making it a deeply emotional track that will resonate with listeners. 

Nu-Blu continues to push creative boundaries with innovative visual content. The music video for "Horse Thieves and Moonshiners," which has already reached #1 on the bluegrass video charts, is a standout. Additionally, the upcoming video release of "The Will" features an in-studio performance that captures the heartfelt essence of the tune.
