Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Price, Specs, Latest Rumors: January 2017 Release Date Confirmed?

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will reportedly have a release date of January, particularly during the CES 2017 which starts on Jan. 3, said the latest news reports.

And here's even more good news for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, it's supposedly going to be cheaper than first anticipated. If anything else, it would make it easier to overlook the GTX Titan X Pascal now with this latest graphic chip.

In terms of performance, the difference between the Titan X and the GTX 1080 Ti is almost insignificant. In fact, the buyer only gets four SMs less than the GP102 used in the Titan X.

By all indications, it seems the Ti is up to the task of matching the performance of NVidia's Pascal chip. According to WCCFTech, in terms of computing power the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti yield 10.8 teraflops of FP32. Compare that with the Titan X, which has 11, and only the most obsessive of gamers would notice the difference.

In terms of price, however, you will really feel the pain in your pocket as the Titan X costs $1,360. In contrast, around $700-800 is the expected selling price for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. So when you think about it, this new product would be the death knell of the Titan X.

There should be more news regarding the price of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti as the release date comes along. We will be sure to report any new detail, or even just the rumors, surrounding the latest chip.
