Netflix's Newest hit Series Orange is the new Black Season 2 in the Making

The comedy drama series that originally aired this past July is based on the trials and time of Piper Kerman's life behind bars. Who was indicted on charges for money laundering and drug trafficking.

In the Netflix series Kerman, known as Piper Chapman in the series, is played by Taylor Schilling who receives 15 months for smuggling a suitcase packed full of drug money for lesbian lover Alex Vaus (Lauren Prepon). The series captures Chapman's adaption from living on the outside to now on the inside of prison walls.

Filming for season two of the series began this past July and with the buzz about a new character. Lorraine Toussaint will be playing the role of Vee, who's a Queen Pin, drug lord using kids as her dealers turned inmate. Lorraine Toussaint also appears in ABC Family's "The Fosters".

The Netflix series touches on universal issues such as; race, class, gender, and metal health, but it is all mixed in with a touch of comic relief. Netflix has yet made another hit series! On June 27th of 2013 Netflix renewed "Orange is the new Black" for a 13-episode second season before its first air date July 11, 2013. Similar to other Netflix series "House of Cards", which was also renewed before it first air date. "Orange is the new Black" season 2 is set to air sometime in 2014.
