New details on the cast, release, and spoilers on Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black" season 5 have surfaced.

"Orange Is The New Black" star Danielle Brooks revealed her role in the forthcoming fifth season of the series. As per the actress, she was not playing a part that might be seen as an "angry black woman."

In her interview with The Guardian, Brooks said that she remembered casting director Jennifer Euston tell her that the character was not angry and she was more like the light of the prison. The actress also said that from there she had known that she had not been going to play the angry black woman.

"I was going to choose to show a different side of a woman who was incarcerated," Brooks said.

For Brooks, she would never play a stereotype, as she would always ensure that she make made choices that were rich and colorful and try to show more of a person that met the eye.

In terms of what to expect from the "Orange Is The New Black" season 5 story line, it is assumed that Piper's death has been confirmed. According to Parent Herald, it is very unlikely to see Piper dying in the series, since she is one of the lead protagonists. However, fans also saw Poussey's death in the series' season 4, which means characters in the show cannot escape from death.

Previously, showrunner Jeni Kohan told the publication that "Orange Is The New Black" has been renewed until season 7. But then, the length of the show still depends on the fans' support to the series, which factors in their views on the online streaming service.

"Orange Is The New Black" is assumed to air in 2017.
