Filming for the upcoming season is already underway but the cast and crew are reportedly going to take a break this December to celebrate the Holidays.

The freshman season of the popular Starz TV series was shot in Scotland, while its sophomore season was shot in France. For its third season, the series will take viewers on a sea voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to Caribbean.

In a recent interview, executive producer Ronald D. Moore and production designer Jon Gary Steele revealed that the most exciting parts of "Outlander" season 4 will take place at the sea. They also revealed that some scenes will be shot in Jamaica and will involve "dazzling special effects and more of the gorgeously rendered production design" by Steele's team.

Currently, the show is shooting some scenes in Scotland. From Scotland, production will move to South Africa.

Meanwhile, Jamie and Claire will meet new characters next season, including Lord John Grey William, Ian Murray, Marsali and Joe Abemathy. Spoilers for the new season suggest that Jamie will meet Lord John Grey William in prison following the Battle of Culloden.

"Outlander" season 3 premieres next year and picks up right where viewers last saw Claire in the season 2 finale.
