'Owlboy' News Update: Game Set For November Release Date

New details on the release date of D-Pad Studio's "Owlboy" have surfaced and as per reports, the game is set to come out in November.

Previously, D-Pad Studio announced at PAX West that the action-adventure game will be released on November 1, Kill Screen has learned. As per the publication, the game is set to be playable on PC digitally on Steam and GOG. The studio also revealed that the game is set to have a boxed version, along with a soundtrack, dual cover artwork, and an exclusive art print.

As per Polygon, D-Pad also describes "Owlboy" as "high-bit," as it is inspired from the Genesis and Super Nintendo versions of 16-bit games. Also, the game makes use of the current technology integrated in present PC flatforms; hence, players will be able to see the game's enivornment.

Players are set to assume the role of a mute boy named Otus in the game. While the character finds it hard to live like an owl, pirates who invade his world, he has to travel through the monster-filled ruins.

D-Pad also released a teaser trailer for "Owlboy." It opens with a foggy playteau, ruins, waters, and chambers, along with words revered, exalted, and wise - three associations to an owl's traits. The next sequence sees a space with screens, machines, and wires in it, which is followed by a text that reads "Over the centuries, we had worked hard to build up this respect that people have for us." "It's time to begin yout journey."
