'Paper Mario: Color Splash' Leaks And Update: Game Coming Via eShop, Nintendo Not Moving The Release Date
In line with Nintendo's "Paper Mario: Color Splash," the game comes out prior to its intended release, as per reports.
The game, which was exclusive for the Nintendo Wii U, was reportedly accessible for players who purchased the game's digital version and predownloaded the game, Tech Times has learned. As per the publication, the game's scheduled release is on Oct. 7.
On Sept. 23, as per Game Spot, Twitter user and game enthusiast Alola Form Bidoof (@Electivirus) tweeted "It's true digital copies of Color Splash can be played right now ddmfkjdjfbf." However it looks like the post has been taken down.
As per the publication, Nintendo has also acknowledged the said leak; however, the studio mentioned that it had no plans to move the scheduled release date for the forthcoming Wii U game.
In a statement, as cited by the publication, a Nintendo of America spokesperson said that for a brief period of time, "Paper Mario: Color Splash" had been inadvertently made available to the public via Nintendo eShop on Wii U, and a small number of consumers had been able to purchase and download the game.
According to the Nintendo spokesperson, access to the digital version of the game was no longer available and it would be available for download in Nintendo eShop on Wii U. Consumers could purchase the physical version at retailers nationwhide, when the game launches in October. No details were mentioned about those who were able to purchase and download the game recently.
"Paper Mario Color Splash" is set to come out for the Nintendo Wii U on Oct. 7.
