Paris Jackson Spends Christmas in Hawaii with Mother Debbie Rowe During Brief Treatment Break

Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, has been spending a lot of time with her mother Debbie Rowe this holiday season as she looked to be surrounded by family while in treatment.

Paris and her mother were seen vacationing in Hawaii together as the 15-year-old was given a temporary leave from her boarding school in Utah that also serves as a recovery and treatment center for children with problems.

The family doesn't want Paris to spend her entire winter break at home because they don't want her getting comfortable," a source told E! News. "The family thinks Paris will try to talk her way into staying home after showing the family she's gotten better."

The pair have reconnected over the last year after being apart since MJ divorced Rowe. After his death, the family also tried to keep the children away from her.

Rowe initially became a candidate to have guardianship over her daughter right after Paris tried to commit suicide earlier this year.

TMZ had reported that Paris was having a hard time connecting with her grandmother and Rowe became an option for guardianship if Paris wanted it. The two had grown close in those few months and the move seemed like a mother reaching out, however, the Jackson family felt the motives were different.

"If her intentions were pure she'd be speaking to the family," a source told TMZ as they believe her motive is to get in the public eye. The family wanted to fight Rowe "tooth and nail."

Paris had reportedly called a suicide helpline shortly before attempting to take her own life. While Paris used a meat cleaver to cut her wrists and ingested several Motrin pills, sources did not believe that the teen intended to take her own life.

"She wanted attention, she wanted to be saved. It makes no sense if you really want to die to call a hotline, where the person on the other end will get an ambulance over to your house," an alleged law enforcement source told TMZ.com.
