Pat Barrett Drops Acoustic Live Recording, Video Of "Sails," Featuring Amanda Lindsey Cook, Steffany Gretzinger
Housefires worship leader and solo recording artist Pat Barrett on Wednesday debuted an acoustic live version of his ballad, "Sails," featuring Bethel Music artists Amanda Lindsey Cook and Steffany Gretzinger. The original studio version of the song appears on Barrett's self-titled full-length debut album, Pat Barrett, which topped the iTunes Christian Album chart upon its release earlier this summer.
Sharing the new live video of the song, Barrett said, "This song is unbelievably special to me, this was a real moment."
He encouraged, "I'm praying this song can be helpful to you in the same way it has been helpful to me. Let out the sails again. I promise it's worth it.?"
Following the release of his self-titled debut album in July, its lead single "The Way (New Horizon" continues to climb at radio. Last week it reached No. 5 on the Christian Audience radio chart and is currently in the Top 10 on multiple other charts.
Announced last month, Barrett is currently nominated for the prestigious New Artist of the Year at the upcoming 49thAnnual GMA Dove Awards taking place in October. In addition to being nominated, he is also scheduled to present an award during the pre-telecast, and will also perform his new radio single "Build My Life."
Barrett's debut album was released on Grammy Award-winning artist Chris Tomlin's new imprint record label, Bowyer & Bow, in partnership with Capitol Christian Music Group. Barrett is also currently on tour in Canada with Tomlin's "Good Good Father Tour," and plans are underway for a new tour next spring.
