Paul Walker's mother Cheryl is to become the guardian of his daughter Meadow according to his will, which left many wondering why the child's own mother, Rebecca Soteros would not be given that role.

TMZ is reporting Walker's motive for leaving his mother in charge of his daughter was because of Soteros' heavy drinking problem.

Soteros was arrested for her first DUI in 2003, and sentenced to three years probation. She was then arrested again last August, and that case is still on going.

Meadow began living with her father in 2011 apparently after her mother's drinking became too much, reported TMZ. Currently she is living with Cheryl.

Walker had a net worth of approximately $25 million at the time of his death, and according to documents obtained by TMZ, the entire estate and fortune was left to his 15-year-old daughter Meadow Walker.

Walker's father is the named executor of the will and filed it in court. Per Walker's will, his mother Cheryl is supposed to take custody of Meadow and be in charge of the large fortune.

This week a Fast & Furious 7 trailer was leaked online, and ironically depicted a funeral scene that the entire cast including Walker attended. It became surreal when Tyrese Gibson's character looks over at Walker's character and said, "I can't do no more funerals."
