Paul Walker MTV Movie Awards 2014: Ice Cube Says 'Fast and the Furious 7' Cast Robbed Him and Kevin Hart of Best Onscreen Duo
In a recent interview, Ice Cube was not happy because he believed that he and his "Ride Along" co-star Kevin Hart should have won the Best Onscreen Duo Award instead of "Fast and Furious 7" stars Vin Diesel and his late co-star Paul Walker at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.
"We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy," said Ice Cube to USA Today in reference to his chemistry with the world famous comedian in the "Ride Along" movie. "We were the best onscreen duo, period."
Ice Cube further expressed his thoughts about not winning the award at Sunday night's event.
"We was robbed," said Ice Cube to USA Today. "Shame on you MTV."
Paul Walker died in a blazing car accident on November 30, 2013. The film had been previously shooting for several months and was expected to be released this year before Walker's untimely death. Now the movie will be released next year.
"They should have gave it to him before he [Paul Walker] passed away," said the hip hop artist turned actor in a recent interview with USA Today.
The 44-year old rapper/actor (born O'Shea Jackson) revealed why he to left the MTV Awards early to watch the Lakers game on Sunday.
"I just wasn't into it," said Ice Cube to USA Today. "I have been going in and out of these things for 25 years. If you ain't into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave."
The "Fast and the Furious 7" film which stars the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Kurt Russell will appear in theaters on April 10th 2015.
