'Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice' Review & News: Game Is Challenging, Calls For Improved Innovation?

Following its release, Capcom's "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice" has had the following features, along with its positive and negative points.

Khura'in trials showcase the Divination Seance. As per Game Spot, it involves Rayfa conjuring a victim's memories and presents them in the center of the room. Then, she showcases her thoughts on what those mean, letting the player utilize solid evidence to check her thoughts for incongruencies.

According to Trusted Reviews, majority of players' time will be spent on ivestigating crime scenes, which can be done by tapping their 3DS stylus. Just like in a real-life trial, other activities also inclde going to the court to showcase evidence, as well as protecting one's client.

Another good point of the game is the challenge it bring to the players. As per the publication, the game will actually test the player's brains, which means that the moments when trial and error as an inferior alternative for maximizing the brain's potential are gone.

One con of the game is the lack of innovation, as per Slant Magazine. According to the publication, the game uses a mystical "Pool of Souls," which involves analysis of the victim's last sensations as evidence. It is added that those are just "investigatorial flourishes," which are comparable to using the 3DS microphone to "blow" fingerprint pweder in a crime scene.

Released on June 9, "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice" was initially released for the Nintendo 3DS.
