The PlayStation VR is almost here and if this bit of news from The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley is to be believed, Sony is already releasing the gadget to some members of the media.

Keighley actually shared a photo of the Playstation VR box in his Twitter account on Sept. 27. He captioned the image, "Time to get my Batman VR on!" The post was retweeted 135 times and received 775 likes.

Of course, most people know by now the news about launch of PlayStation VR on Oct. 13. That's only less than three weeks away so Sony distributing the gadget to mainstream media makes a lot of sense to drum up interest for the new virtual reality toy.

Certainly, Keighley will make a video of his experience with the "Batman: Arkham VR" using the PlayStation VR.

In related news, Express reported fans can get their hands on the horror game, "Here They Lie," alongside the release of the virtual reality device on Oct. 13.

Meanwhile, those who can't wait for the launch date would be happy with the news about 3,300 units being offered as prizes by Taco Bell, which will be given to winners on Oct. 10, said PlayStation Lifestyle.

The bad news is that Sony already closed the pre-orders since the stocks are already reserved. The company said that they will get new stock for the PlayStation VR on Oct. 13.
