'Prison Break' Season 5 Release Date, Premiere News: Someone Dies During Lincoln's Attempt To Get Michael Out Of Prison
Michael Scofield will need the help of his brother in the much anticipated "Prison Break" season 5.
The upcoming season promises to be an exciting one, as Michael and his brother will join forces as they get the former out of a Yemeni prison.
According to reports, Michael's brother, Lincoln Burrows, will do everything he can to rescue Michael upon learning that he is actually alive and has just been locked up in Yemen all this time. However, since the attempt will involve dangers for both of them, someone will reportedly get killed in the process.
Movie News Guide previously hinted that the season 5 storyline would take its cue from "The Odyssey," where Odysseus traveled for a decade to return home following the fall of Troy. In mythology, the King of Ithaca was presumed dead and his wife Penelope started entertaining suitors.
In "Prison Break" season 4, everyone presumed that Michael was already dead after trying to save Dr. Sara Tancredi. As the series returns, Sara is already married to Scott Ness, portrayed by "Royal Pains" star Mark Feuerstein.
In other news, Rick Yune of "Fast and the Furious" has been cast as Ja, a skilled thief who will help the brothers get Michael out of prison. Augustus Prew and Amin El Gamal will also play Whip and a man known as "Cyclops," respectively. Other additions to the cast are "Torchwood" star Marina Benedict and Kunal Sharma.
"Prison Break" season 5 is expected to premiere in 2017 on FOX.
