"Prison Break" season 5 will see the return of Michael Scofield, Sara Tancredi, Lincoln Burrows, T-Bag, Sucre and many of its other original characters.

Spoilers for the upcoming series suggest that the Michael did not actually die in season 4. While the plot of season 5 reveals that he will be rescued from prison after years of incarceration, spoilers for the upcoming season also suggest that new enemies will come his way.

Next season, Michael will find himself facing a new set of enemies. A recent tweet from the writers of the series teased some interesting details about the new season.

In season 5, Lincoln and Sara will not just have to come up with a plan in order to get Michael out of prison, but Michael also has to ready himself for a long list of new enemies that are set to go up against him. Fans speculate that one of the toughest enemies next season is the terrorist group that he joined in when all else thought he was already dead.

It was previously revealed that after leaving the terrorist group in Middle East, Michael was sent behind bars. Reports about the upcoming season claim that as soon as he gets out of prison, the terrorist group will come after him. Michael should get ready for his new enemies, especially since those who are dear to him, including Sara and Lincoln, will also be in danger. 

There are also speculations that Paul Edelstein's character, Paul Kellerman, will return next season to join Michael's list of enemies.

"Prison Break" season 5 is set to return sometime in 2017.
